Privacy Policy

Self Tape Studio is designed to keep audition recordings under your control. The developer does not collect personal data through the app.

Data the app handles

When you use the app, it can create video and audio recordings and store optional slate details such as project, role, scene, reader, title, rating, and notes. These items remain in the app’s private container on your device.

Collection and sharing

The developer does not receive or collect your recordings, slate details, identifiers, diagnostics, or usage analytics. Self Tape Studio has no account system, advertising SDK, analytics SDK, cloud sync, or background upload service.

The app shares a recording only when you choose a Share action and select a destination in the iOS share sheet. Copies exported to another app or service are then governed by that destination’s terms and privacy practices.

Camera, microphone, and Photos

Camera and microphone access are used to record takes. If you choose an export action that saves to Photos, iOS may request permission to add that exported recording to your photo library. The app does not read your existing photo library.

Retention and deletion

Local takes remain until you delete an individual take, use Delete All Takes, or remove the app. Deleting a take removes its local video files and metadata from the app. Exported copies must be deleted from their destination separately.
